Voting Opens Sunday, December 15, 2013

The nomination period for the Philosophy, Mission, Goals, Diversity Statement and Strategic Priorities (PMGDS) Committee, established by the 2013 RID Conference motion — CM2013.03, has ended.  The motion indicates that this committee will be comprised of seven members.  Four (4) members will be elected by the membership and three (3) members will be appointed by the RID Board of Directors.  The voting process will begin on December 15, 2013 and conclude on January 25, 2014.What is the RID Philosophy, Mission, Goals, Diversity Statement and Strategic Priorities (RID PMGDS) Review Committee? MORE INFORMATION>>NomineesThe qualified nominees for the PMGDS Committee are as follows:

Candidates were offered the opportunity to submit statements (signed and text) regarding their nomination to the committee. Those statements, as provided by the candidates, will be accessible by clicking on their name or via the SimplyVoting tool on Sunday, December 15, 2013.

The Voting Process

This process requires a new functionality that we have not needed previously, where members must have the ability to vote for four nominees.On Sunday, December 15, 2013, all eligible voting members received an email from the address RID@simplyvoting.com, with an elector ID and password to access the ballot for this vote. The results shown by SimplyVoting, after the vote has been closed, are not the official results. The official results will be reported by the RID Board of Directors since the final results must include mail ballots received at RID Headquarters. 

It is the goal that this committee will be constituted no later than February 1, 2014.
