SUMMARY: The Member Services Specialist provides administrative, professional and operational support to the Director of Member Services and the department; coordinates various special projects; provides customer services to the RID members.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DATA ENTRY/ADMINISTRATION: Specialist will accurately coordinate the data entry of the renewal process for the 15,000+ members of the organization. Specialist will ensure up-to-date and accurate member data in the membership database.
COMMUNICATION: The Member Services Specialist will respond promptly to incoming member related phone calls and other inquiries via a variety of methods (phone,fax, mail, e-mail, Video Phone etc.), fulfill requests for membership verification and be the resource for questions from members. Specialist will manage as many aspects of member services as possible including: research and resolve member problems, author and send correspondence as needed. Specialist will be the main source of customer services for the membership department.
MAILINGS: The Specialist will coordinate all large mailings for the department which includes but is not limited to membership cards, organizational plaques, renewal reminders and recruitment campaigns. Specialist will also manage the subscription process for the organization’s quarterly publication.
OUTREACH: Specialist may be called to serve as liaison to committees or member sections within the organization. Specialist may work with Director of Member Services on special projects for Affiliate Chapters of RID and the organizations member sections.
OTHER DUTIES: Specialist will also assist with the following: handling information requests; website maintenance and updates; fielding various member-related questions; offering administrative support to RID’s conferences and meetings; and assisting in all other duties as assigned.
