Rating & Raters
Raters are an instrumental part of the RID National Testing System. They are used to determine the results of the performance exams by following specific guidelines and criteria to score a candidate’s performance.
Each test tape is sent to and reviewed by three separate raters.
RID seeks your expertise to step into the role of a rater…
- To become a rater, individuals must attend and pass rater training.
- Rater trainings are conducted as needed, usually every two to four years.
- Becoming a rater requires a special level of knowledge and dedication; therefore, not everyone who is accepted to attend a rater training will pass and become a rater.
