ASL Ethics Videos

RID’s Ethical Practices System (EPS) seeks to bring accountability to the field of interpreting by upholding the ethical standards RID maintains for its membership. The EPS provides guidance and enforcement to professional conduct while offering a complaint filing and review process to address concerns regarding the ethical decision-making of interpreters.

The goal of the EPS is to uphold the integrity of ethical standards among RID members. In keeping with that goal, the system includes a comprehensive process whereby complaints of ethical violations can be thoroughly reviewed and resolved through mediation or complaint review.
