This workshop is geared towards the development of skills and sensitivities to provide efficient and appropriate interpretation for children in the legal system such as interviews, the use of props, courtroom or separate room with remote video-camera. There will be discussions on techniques to interpret without direct or indirect influence(s), or performing within the legal context and line of questioning/inquiry. Also, there will be opportunities for some hands-on activities to create effective messages that are suitable for ages of the children and their linguistic variation and acquisition/development.
