Being a freelance interpreter requires more than just the physical act of interpreting. Focus is so heavily placed on skill that the business side of the profession often falls through the cracks. Members of RID need clarity on the tax and business implications of being a freelance interpreter in order to provide the highest standard of services to the community. Through engaging content and hands-on activities, participants will learn about self-employment, taxes and business structures that help empower freelancers in their current and future careers.
