American Sign Language Designated Interpreter for Biomedical Engineering PhD
Student in Rochester, NY
We will be appointing the designated interpreter to a bio-medical student in all areas including clinical, research, lab, classroom and administrative meetings. The primary function of these positions is to provide advanced ENGLISH TO ASL and ASL TO ENGLISH to a PhD student, ensuring they have interpreters for all program related scheduling, which can be dynamic in nature.
Full -Time: (variable Mon- Fri hours) with Flat Rate Compensation
Compensation: Competitive Rates!! Paid Bi-weekly
Relocation Funds Available? YES
Schedule: Mostly Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, weekly coverage will be teamed and divided with second team member.
Work Schedule/Location: Rochester, NY
Position Start & End Date: ASAP to TBD End Date (1-3 years) Information: You will have a team DI and together will cover the Deaf
Professionals schedule. The team will decide days off and on, when “teaming” is needed vs solo coverage.
Requirements: Interpreter with STEM experience and/or willingness to commit to that field of study. Adaptable personality for high-level environment and supportive teaming, and willingness to prioritize this assignment.
