Q: I know the standard processing time for CEUs is 60 days – what if 60 days falls after the end of my certification cycle?

A: As long as you’ve earned the required number of CEUs prior to the end of your cycle, when the CEUs are actually processed and added to your transcript won’t impact your certification.


Q: What do I do if I won’t meet the CEU requirement prior to the end of my cycle?

A: If you haven’t already received one, you can request a one-year, once-in-a-lifetime certification cycle extension. The form to request the extension is 


Q: If I’ve met the CEU requirements, is there anything else I need to do?

A: Congratulations! There is nothing further that you need to do – a new cycle will automatically be added to your account at the beginning of 2019.


Q: When is the deadline for completing CEUs for my current cycle that ends this year?

A: Any and all CEUs must be completed and the information submitted to the sponsor (as needed) by 11:59 PM on December 31st to count toward your current certification cycle.


Q: I saw the announcement that RID HQ will be closed the last week of December. If I have a last minute question about my CEUs/my specific situation, what should I do?

A: Be sure that you email us prior to close of business (5pm) on December 23rd. We will respond to your inquiries at our earliest convenience.


Q: I’ve looked over my transcript, and there are workshops that I attended from more than 60 days ago that don’t appear. What do I do?
