Renewal Impacts Certification

Certification Maintenance Requirements

This is an important reminder that as part of RID’s Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) requirements, RID Certified Members must maintain the certification(s) they hold through:

  • Annual Certified membership with RID

  • Continuing education

  • Compliance with the RID Ethical Practices System Policy and Enforcement Procedures, including the Code of Professional Conduct.

Certified Members Need to Know!

RID offers a grace period from July 1 to July 31 for members to remit payment without penalty (certification revocation). However, during this period, your membership and certification will not be listed as in good standing. As outlined in the RID Certification Maintenance Program (CMP), one of the requirements for maintaining certification with RID is to maintain current RID Certified membership, and our policies require that certifications are revoked when one of the requirements for maintaining certification is not met.
