Achieve Certification or pass a competency examination (written and performance) defined by Board Rule (For list of accepted Certifications and Exams, see IDAPA 24.42.01 Rules of the Speech, Hearing and Communication Services Licensure Board
18 years and above
Obtained High School diploma or equivalent
No felony convictions
and Completed application and license fee submitted to IBOL

Possible Penalties & Grievance Process
Grievance Process: Any individual can file a complaint with the Board via mail or fax. The Board is authorized to institute any investigation, hearing, or other legal proceeding. Possible Penalties: Violations may be referred to appropriate prosecuting attorneys. The license may be suspended or revoked. May result in a Misdemeanor with a fine of up to $1,000 and/or imprisonment in a county jail.
